ESTIMATED EXPENSES

This expenses listed below are estimated costs for international students attending SRJC and include nine months of academic and living expenses. The information is based on normal charges incurred by most students as well estimates from the SRJC Financial Aid Office. Individual expenses may vary based on your choice of housing, meal plan, program of study, total units enrolled, and other factors.

As required by the U.S. Department of State, F-1 visa applicants must provide evidence of financial support to cover their first year of study in the United States. Applicants must upload documentation demonstrating sufficient funding and include a signed Declaration of Sponsor Support if receiving funds or free housing and meals from a friend, relative, or other sponsor. 

2024-2025 Academic Year

International Application Fee $50 Required for all applicants who submit the international application on CCCApply. 
Tuition and Fees $10,982 Includes 12 units per semester for two semesters. Tuition for nonresidents is $454 per unit before scholarships. Subject to change annually.
Health Insurance $1,920 Includes Fall, Spring, and Summer coverage. The GeoBlue Health Insurance fee is mandatory for all international students. Subject to change annually.
Housing and Meals $15,797 Based on Homestay prices including placement fee, security deposit, and 9 months in private bedroom with breakfast and dinner at home and lunch on-campus. 
Books and Supplies $1,339 Based on estimates from the Financial Aid office. 
Transportation $1,298 Based on estimates from the Financial Aid office. 
Personal Expenses $3,674 Based on estimates from the Financial Aid office. 
TOTAL: $35,060 This amount of funding is required to receive a Form I-20 from SRJC. Applicants with dependents must have an additional $5,000 for their spouse and $3,000 per child.
Total without housing and meals: $19,263 Applicants who will receive free housing and meals from a local friend/relative can subtract $15,797 from their total estimated expenses.

Transportation $1,080 Based on estimates from the Financial Aid office (adjusted for ISP students). Students can ride the local bus for free. 
Personal Expenses $3,164 Based on estimates from the Financial Aid office. 
Total: $32,972 This amount of funding is required to receive a Form I-20 from SRJC. Applicants with dependents must provide evidence of an additional $5,000 for their spouse and $3,000 per child.
Total without housing and meals: $18,605 Applicants who will receive free housing and meals from a local friend/relative can subtract $14,367 from their total estimated expenses.
