I am very grateful for the tremendous support I have received at SRJC, from instructors who help me study and guide my future transfer, to staff assisting me to obtain working and tax documents. The international student office at SRJC is filled with people who are thoughtful and care about you.

I came to Santa Rosa as an exchange student for a one year high school program. While going to high school I found out that one of the best junior colleges in the nation is located right here in Santa Rosa. These have been a remarkable three years. I've met many wonderful and caring instructors who taught me everything they know with a great passion. I've made many wonderful friends here. All of that thanks to Santa Rosa Junior College, the college that gave me a strong academic background to be accepted at several universities.

I would have never guessed that I would one day attend Santa Rosa Junior College, because being from West Africa, I always targeted famous universities. However SRJC is the place to go for international students because on top of getting a premium education comparable to the one you get at four year schools for the first two years, it is way cheaper. Moreover, you get to have one on one time with the teachers which helps you understand the material better. I have met so many friends, from different countries and I would never forget the wonderful time I had at SRJC.

On campus, we have a lot of resources so there's no way you can fail a class. The teachers are there for you. They have free tutors to help you with your homework and almost everything is set up for you to have successful time here.
I got all kinds of help from the international counselors so I can get settled here. And then all the other counselors helped me to pick out my classes and which ones are the best choice to accomplish my degree.
What I liked most about attending SRJC is the campus, faculty, and small class sizes. After graduating from UC Davis, I got a job at Genentech. Genentech is a biopharmaceutical company where we make drugs that treat various types of cancer.
